today's officially the last day of 2006.
for some reason, reflective me cannot seem to close my eyes and watch the events of this year like a movie in my mind.
i wish i cld sort out my thoughts.

to clean up, sort out, laugh and remember, smile and cry, put aside or put away for good.

i shall blog when everything in me starts flowing again.
cos now, i feel like a river that has a dam built across.
the water can't flow.
just like my thoughts- they're trapped.

i realise nowadays i don't have that msn urge or blogging urge anymore.
it's weird cos i rem how during promos, i cldnt tear myself away from the com.
i wonder what caused that change in me.
but im glad it's how it is now.
and i hope it stays this way.

i wonder what's going to happen when school reopens?
can i let go?

i'm soo glad i went to church on saturday!
thanks robert and simon, esp simon who called. haha.
it's great getting to know so many friendly people.
im glad they took the initiative to get to know others - im really lousy at these kinda things.
every moment history is created, and memories somehow don't seem like memories because the sweetness is renewed, second after second.
and now i shall go link people-fungmin, tracee, jon, jx.. who's jx? oops. ok i shall go find out
i shall live in the happiness of the moment, and in the happiness that for every moment, there are many more to come.

As the automatic doors open and we stepped out of the airport, it was shocking to get hit with a blast of heat waves. It was as though someone had turned the heater on to 80 degrees F. The heat was unbearable.

and im suffering from jet lag. you try changing time zones frm spore to orlando time to anaheim time then back to spore. it sucks.

Amazingly, I’ve been to more theme parks in these two weeks than I’ve ever done in the past 10 years at least. One day one park. It’s so exhausting sis and I sleep at eight or nine almost everyday. Lol.

Parks we covered:
- Kennedy Space center a.k.a. NASA in US - this is where they launch shuttles into space. Like those Apollo moon missions! Cool!
- Disney World (4 parks) – Magic Kingdom, MGM studios, Epcot and Animal Kingdom
- Sea World Orlando
- Disneyland includ. Downtown disney
- California Adventure
- Universal studios
- Universal Island of adventure

Some stuff…
- People there are pretty friendly and kinda like the words ‘honey’ and ‘sweetie’ a lot. Like at ihop, the waitresses go ‘sure thing honey’ or ‘no problem sweetie’. Really!

- they don’t have chilli there. Only ketchup. So it was pretty torturous and the closest they had was crushed pepper flakes, the kind that comes with pizza.

- for meals, the choice is pretty limited: burgers, pizza, pasta or salad. And since I don’t eat salad, it’s down to three. Pasta isn’t always available so… most of the time, it’s burgers or pizza. And yeah I’m pretty sick of these two. Haha.

-If you need to make a choice between Orlando, Florida (where Disneyworld is) or Anaheim, California ( where DisneyLand is), choose Orlando. The queues are shorter and you can take the rides as many times as you want. The thrill rides are the same. Well, almost.

- I took the Incredible Hulk! HAHA. I suggest you don’t take it if you have motion sickness. It doesn’t exactly thrill, all it does is make you giddy and start walking off course. At least I did. Lol.

-Took every coaster at the parks, some more than once. The record was 6( 4 x at Orlando, twice at Anaheim), for the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. Basically you hear a story then you sit in this ‘elevator’, where it plunges 13 storeys. It’s completely random everytime, like sometimes it goes up before dropping, or sometimes it drops first. So it’s down up down up or up down up up down (more times of course) and it’s in complete darkness. Plus when you lift ur arms and legs up, you literally fly, held down only cos of the seat belt. It’s really FUN.

- Heard of the Kraken from POTC dead man’s chest? The Kraken is a coaster at Seaworld, supposedly longer, faster and spiraling faster than any coaster in Orlando. I think it has a pretty mean drop. Haha. But it’s one of the nicest ones.

- Duelling Dragons has a cool design. You have to walk a really long way through caves and all with skeletons and skulls until there’s a fork and you make a choice between fire and ice. I chose ice, due to time constraints, and then both fire and ice dragons will set out together in this entangled, intertwined spiraling looping sharp turn and drops ride. Awesome!

- We didn’t do much shopping because there was simply no time. bought loads of food and clothes mainly, more food. It’s ridiculous. Even with 2 15inch duffels packed to the brim, it wasn’t enough. So we had to buy a 24inch reebok duffel to store it. Plus we discarded the boxes and just packed the food in to save space.

- at Epcot, world showcase, there was CANADA! chris seah must be so proud =D haha.

-i'm in love with Disney songs now, thanks to the broadway style musicals like little mermaid, beauty and the beast and aladdin.

- the stunt shows are spectacular! they seem to love fire explosions a lot. there were some huge ones.. like the cars extreme stunt show- it's like in the movies.

- The sky gets dark at about 5.30 in Orlando and earlier in Anaheim. Anaheim’s cooler than Orlando, as in the temperature. In Orlando, it’s perfect cos you can wear shirt and shorts and it does get hot with the sun, but you don’t sweat. But it did rain quite a bit and it gets pretty cold. Anaheim’s more shirt and jeans with a sweater at times, about 20 degrees but at night, it gets to the teens and it can go down to 7 degrees so u wld def need a jacket.

- One really cool important thing! All the notes and coins in America has “In God we trust” printed on them. It took me really long to realize -.- about a week.. is that long? =D
im over it.
And after this super long post, it’s time to start on homework =/
